Accesible home
Safety and comfort
For many seniors, home is the best place to live and be, but the functionality and safety of home spaces should be updated to support daily living. In addition to my qualifications as an interior designer, I have specialized nursing qualifications and previous work experience in home care, which keeps the challenges of daily life for the elderly and those with mobility and sensory impairments close to my heart.

Mobility at home can be facilitated by increasing spaciousness, accessibility, and adaptability. Comfort and safety are created by choosing slip-resistant flooring materials, and through sensory-friendly solutions in acoustics, colors, materials, and lighting. Access to terraces or balconies and the ability to spend time with outdoor views enhance well-being. Ramps and elevators ar installed where necessary. Safety-enhancing equipment, such as furniture risers, handrails or grab bars, are planned together with the client based on their individual ergonomic needs. I am happy to collaborate with home care services, relatives, and providers of technical safety equipment. You can explore the steps of the interior design process here and the steps of the turnkey service here. Accessible home service can be implemented either as space planning and interior design service or as a comprehensive turnkey service, depending on client´s need.
